Hopefully when he goes back he somehow s the continuum and ends up causing bleepbleepbleep to be popularized in that time period and for our current time period to contain the rise of the newest thing on the block, progressive house.

Twilight zone forever bitch.

Moonage Dream is pretty cool, but yeah I think Danny should stick to DJing. I love that he's started a label and I think he should be using it more as a platform for new producers and less as a platform for his own stuff.
Sudbeat? Sudbeat is Hernan Cattaneo's label as far I know. Tracks sound ok, not all that interesting and memorable though.

'On The Moon' so good...deserves an encore.

Danny Howells is probably one of the most talented DJ first and Producer second. I really hope he does not follow some of the advice given here, some of you are pretty much out of touch with reality, or too jaded to be reviewing music.

I think this track will be huge. And yep this is on Hernan's brand spankin new label Sudbeat. Don't ask how I know.

Why did you feel the need to post that video again? It was included in the very first post of the thread.

Right. I guess I still don't see the point in an "encore" when anyone who wants to hear it again can just scroll right up and re-play it. Also, the track doesn't deserve an encore. It's just the kind of inoffensive yet bland stuff that now dominates the once-excellent genre of prog house.

Most people use the default forum post/page setting, so no they can't simply scroll up. Seriously there is more musicality and talent in this piece than majority of the stuff that is coming out in this genre. If I were an aspiring Progressive House, actually producer in general i'd be listening to Danny Howells music closely. To get into the mind of one of the best DJs in the world, and see what he thinks makes dancefloors move, especially the mix and arrangement portion of his music. The man knows his , and likely actually produces his own music, with probably some sound engineering help, but musically and arrangement wise im guessing it all comes from his own mind.

Bland? Reeeaally? Are you serious? lol. Some comments here are ing laughably bad, and so out of touch. Get your ears and mind checked imo, are we listening to the same piece of music? 'On The Moon' is very far from bland, there is more fun and energy in it than quite a bit of the stuff that gets pushed here.

Also, not a lot of producers are making good tracks in this vein at the moment, so a Prog House track of this quality is borderline rare in EDM these days. Actually, musically I think its better than a majority of what Eric Prydz has done, since someone compared it to Prydz. And again as I said earlier, Danny Howells likely makes his own , whereas a lot of old school DJ's are ghost produced. Im on my 4th listen, definately a dancefloor bombshell. Reminds me of the brighter top shelf Progressive House that Desyn Maseillo use to play.

Funny you compare this to Prydz, because these tracks remind me *exactly* of most anything Prydz touches. Excellent and crisp mixing, adequate to get people moving, but ultimately so safe and boring that they're not worth listening to more than once or twice. And even though this sort of stuff is inoffensive and "listenable" enough when considered by itself, it's really a sad joke next to a lot of the older prog house and prog trance from the artists mentioned in the Good Ol' Prog thread.

How is 'On The Moon' safe and boring? I can easily cripple your argument, if you want to define what you mean by safe and boring. Besides how vague is "bland, safe and boring." So please do define safe and boring, because it is not making an ounce of sense in relation to this release, especially On The Moon. And to help you and me out a bit define what Progressive House tracks are fun and taking the chances you look for in music?

And what you linked is apples and oranges to this music. This track is obviously the type of House that Desyn got famous for pushing between 2004-2006, what is in that link is the deeper and darker Prog stuff that was the soundtrack of 1999-2004. So your argument is that "this isnt that good old prog." Which is really not that great of an argument take up against 'On The Moon.'
