No, I work at a retirement home, and I work anywhere from 30-40 hours a week.
squirrelly
for some reason I thought you worked at a hospital.
Silky Johnson
Well, during school I did sorta - for my practicum. Don't get paid for that though. Almost 30 hours of free labour for them every week, lol.
squirrelly
Maybe that's what I was thinking of. I was like damn, I could have sworn... but then again clearly today I'm not all here :p

I'm really looking forward to this coming semester. Instead of practicum we'll be in the simulation lab practicing assessments and running through scenarios and stuff. Will be nice to have a break from commuting here, there, and everywhere between 3-4 diff places every week.

6th semester I will be doing a community placement, which I also really look forward to. I think it'll be interesting. :)

Do you get paid for the community placement, or is that another unpaid position?
Silky Johnson
Unpaid. Consolidation in my last semester is gonna suck. It's even more intensive, and unpaid. So much time taken away from paid work, it sucks.

Only thing that sucks in the medical field is watching people die.

People dying is part of the job. People dying is part of life. Moron.
