| Richie Hawtin, last summer. Maybe it had something to do with the sardine-like crowd at Celebs, or maybe it was just my bad back making me cranky. Either way, it was rather dull, and left early. |

| paul van dyk , last time i saw him , all his set consisted of was 1 minute of melodic breakdown then 10 minutes of kick bass bass hihat kick ,was almost a minimal set , but there was some good support so it turned out to be good night. |

I listened to most of Paul Oakenfold's set at Bonnaroo, it was boring, cheesy, fluffy uplifting trance with massive 3 minute breakdowns and absolutely no substance whatsoever at 3 in the morning. He played Planet Funk - Chase The Sun, tho, so it wasn't a total trainwreck. |
i could see that, everytime i've seen him play has been horrible...i dont know if hes coked the out or just doesnt care anymore... |

When I saw him 2 years ago he was actually quite good (apart from that awful new southern sun remix he played) |

He'll probably say something like "too big" or "uninspired" or "not interesting" (not trying to dig at you buddy, but I'm pretty sure that's what you told me, maybe I made it up lol), but it was an hour and a half spot at a massive festival and they raved it the up. It was borderline trance at 126 BPM and it was badass. Lots of fun DJ tricks that no one really does anymore and a few classic hands in the air moments for good measure. They killed the boat party afterward, proper drummy house/techno but way too Latin inspired.
