not that i really expected any of them to "kill it" since i was aware they were either going through style changes or were playing differently than they used to... but i still had some hope, and they were pretty horrid shows.

i like going in with zero expectations these days.

If you hear a certain DJ enough times, he will disappoint you at one point or another.

Digweed. Heard him at Bedrock 10 and although I enjoyed the first few hours (and I give him major respect for that Depeche Mode remix from a while back (the blue vinyl)), by hour 4 he dropped down to floor-clearing mundane techno. I guess he plans to build back out of it for a finally, but same as him and Sasha b2b @ Gods, I left then as I was tired and got bored after the music that had proceeded.

PVD at Central Park NYC 2005. Played 2 good songs followed by 5 ones. This repeated throughout the show. Wont be seeing him again.

Dave Seaman recently at Pacha NYC, although that was only for 1.5 hours...but seriously...if u can't drop a winning track in that time span why the hell should I stick around for more abuse

Audiojack at Transit Nightclub Philadelphia 2008....garbage trendy tech house. Absolutely awful.

Nu-NRG at Emerald City Phildelphia. Had a stage full of equipment...for what I dont know cuz the music blew

But in all fairness, I had low expectations for these guys prior to the event so I wasnt really "let down" so to speak

going back to about 2002/2003 time.. not that i liked these guys anyways.. but given their standing at the time : armin, and tiesto.

they were getting all the hype then, and also at the time i went to gatecrasher every week for about 3 years, one week there was an armin 4 hour set, thats thwe only night i decided not to go to [baring in mind i went every week without fail regardless of who was on], a month or so later he was on again, after kai tracid.. tracid rocked it.. armin came in the DJ box half way through kai tracids last tune, an encore was requested.. armin was having none of it, and notioned to kai tracid "its my turn now mister"... armin came on, completely killed the atmosphere took a good 20 minutes before the crowd started to get into it, and even after that it was a dull as dreary set.

and tiesto.. seen this guy a fair few times at gatecrasher over the years, this guy really never fails to dissappoint crap mixes and poor set structure

Growing up in a small non-edm area pretty much all the big names I've now seen have disappointed me.......
Eric Prydz - opened with 1.5 hours of borrring.
Roger Sanchez - seen him twice, just aweful no-flow sound
Sasha and Digweed - Kept me thinking "when is something gonna happen" until it was over.

I was so excited to see what all the fuss was about and now I'm still wondering.

shotcolin'
Jesse Rose - I saw him recently and not only was it not good, he was a douche bag as well...

in 2001 yes when that sound was relevant but this was 06 I believe. I'm too old for that . Probably more my taste than their music. I just remember it being overly loud and annoyingly fast. I like to groove.
