the service has definitely gone SO FAR downhill!
you should say something!! I plan on it too- i wish i had earlier but now hearing that you are getting treated badly too! UGH! youre right, people in VIP are there paying good money they should be treated well. In addition, people who are there often should NEVER be even given a bad glance! have they forgotten what VIP stands for?? im lost here |
+1
If anything, I dont think people in VIP should be treated like this at all. Since when is being in VIP the same as being in General Admission. Events will still happen at Pacha, Im just hoping they get their act together before they start pissing off everyone in the city.
And even people in General Admission deserve respect. Even when you call their number you get terrible service.
As I said, Pacha has the worst service from the beginning you go in the door. |

agreed! I wasnt even IN VIP at the time....but lets be serious here. I dont think I have been in Pacha for two years (until ATB) without getting a table and spending money.
But thats besides the point. Even the people spending $33 via ticketmaster dont deserve half the treatment they get. It PAINED me to keep my mouth shut, because I was already pissed off at the crowd, the heat, the f*cking taxi cab driver that I had to curse out, and the other incidents that lead me to be pissed off that night. when Im happy I usally laugh at the people who act like idiots, but when Im pissed off, I am likely to SNAP. :whip: |

Everyone should be treated well. Period. Ive been to REAL clubs now ::ehem:: and it amazes me. The ONLY difference between VIP and the floor?
Table, Bottle, personal bartender...people literally kissing your ass to the point you feel embarassed.
there should never be a point in time where you think: she was a bitch! or Does that person actually work here?
its just good business.
I hope someone from Pacha reads it. But I plan on contacting a few people myself. Not that itll necisarrily matter but until we start telling someone and going out of our way to let them know, well never know if they actually care
One thing I DO KNOW...they hired a couple- i think a lot- of new waitresses for VIP and they had come to me asking me how it was working out. they actually wanted my opinion on it. NOW, this was before one of the new girls got all ed up and started begging me for extasy (which i dont have access to, so why they picked me to ask i still have no idea!) ....this they will now know about. Gives me a glimmer of hope that maybe if we all tell them when we have these bad experiences- maybe they will try to do something. |

I've actually had great service from the Made bouncers and VIP....but this girl literally bugged the f*ck out. |
I agree, you can tell who the people that work for Made are because they are nice and they know how to do things.
Pacha Security and Employees on the other hand:whip:
You guys really need to get your act together.
When I said VIP, I was referring to that one time on another thread that someone mentioned that one time in VIP a girl that works for Pacha was asking people/customers for her fix of E while serving people. its on another thread but I cant find it right now.
Ive been three times to Pacha one time last summer, during winter and now. Its only gets worse every time I come.
Edit: hellosam just wrote about the girls in vip above |

yeah that was me ;)
I think that MAYBE she felt comfortable doing so because I was friendly/knew a lot of the people including her boss...so maybe she thought I was "cool" or something? not sure. but her boss....would NOT be ok with that, from what I understand. though I could be wrong. |

I dont even know what to think of Pacha Management anymore, given whats been happening lately with how they treat their customers. |

I miss crobar. I swear I never had one SINGLE problem there.....I miss the space, the workers, the venue, everything......... :( :(
Pacha is a freaking nightmare, only made worse by the fact that I actually *enjoy* the larger venues with the lasers, the big crowd, etc....but only when run PROPERLY :(
Going from my beginning years of the Guvernment and the Docks to now, PACHA, is just killing me :( :( Im sorry, but vibe/venue DOES contribute a LOT to the experience for me.......:( :( :( |

| Sadly it will keep happening as long as people continue patronizing the establishment despite all the negative aspects. If they don't see business declining they think it's acceptable. They assume you are going to come back regardless because it's "Pacha" or make an exception for certain DJ's. How they won best club... I really don't know, but they should honestly send in someone to investigate that looks like the average clubber so they can experience a taste what we go through on a typical night there. It's not just lately either. I've experienced the same thing at the very first party I attended there shortly after their grand opening. |

I think this may be a somewhat misplaced comment. Pacha MANAGEMENT is actually cool as hell.
It seems that Friday has left people with a bad taste in their mouth about Pacha in general. I'm not saying I don't understand that...I was there on Friday for a total of 10 minutes before I left. It was just way too crowded, and I knew I wouldn't have enjoyed myself if I stayed any longer.
The one thing you have to realize, in regards to bouncers and even wait staff, is that when a venue is that full, their jobs get exponentially harder. I'm not saying it gives them them the right to act like dicks if thats how they were acting.
For example though...at 1:30, security guards weren't allowing people down onto the main floor, which sucked. People were pushing anyway, trying to get down, and the security guards were getting pissed, cursing, pushing people back. On the surface, if you're just standing there, you're thinking " these security guards." But the fact is, for safety reasons, they are not allowed to let anyone down. Its not their call, but they HAVE to enforce it...legally.
I'm not saying that you guys don't have a right to be pissed. If you're paying money for an event, you shouldn't be treated badly. I would only say that maybe we need to pick our events a little more carefully lol. If I had known that ATB was going to a draw a crowd THAT huge, I wouldn't have attempted it. But, lesson learned. Hopefully next time they book him at a bigger venue...god knows he (ATB) can pull it off. |

If someone is acting up then their behavior would be justified however there are a bunch of civil decent human beings on this board that just want to have a good time and enjoy the music and they don't bother anyone. Why would they have to be treated poorly based on the bouncer's history of incidents in the club or based on the club's over capacity.

May be a little too cool if this is what they let their employees get away with. I wasn't there last night but this type of behavior has happened to me at Pacha more than once and I wouldn't dare return again unless I was in VIP.
It is also possible that who ever is in charge of the hiring process needs to re-evaluate who they are hiring. If you hire low quality people for less pay the service surely suffers. |

I understand that. I'm not saying that the TAs who complained deserved mistreatment on Friday lol. But as packed as the venue was on Friday, imagine how much those bouncers had to deal with all night. Their patience must have been wearing thinner than usual. I'm not saying its an excuse, but rather a (sort of understandable) reason. |
