First day of summer...

..has come and gone.
It's all down hill from yesterday!
Did anyone do anything fun on the longest day of the year?
I went to Wonderland and enjoyed the sun.

so nice today, wearing the most summer-like outfit to work :D
the weather was on and off yesterday, at one point it looked like the thunderstorm was coming :nervous: |

Went for a bike ride and picnic in Tommy Thompson park. We were trying to get to the island, but the line was redardedly long, probably 2 hours just to get tickets. Biked to the very southern tip of the park, put down a blanket and had a picnic. Could not have asked for a better day.
Then went trampolining at sun down. Wicked, wicked day! |

Mikey and I wanted to go to the island but we had a slow start to the morning and by the time we got there the line up for the ferry was HUGE, the worst I have ever seen it.
Was something going on at the island? Or was everyone just looking for some summer fun?
We ended up taking our blanket to highpark, tanned in the sun and, threw a ball around. Perfect day :)
The weather was much nicer at highpark than downtown - which I though was weird. Downtown was a bit overcast while there wasnt a cloud in the sky at high park.
The weather is looking great for the next week too. SUMMER TIME IS HERE!!! :cool: |

| Tara and I Originally planned to hang out in the sun on the island but the lineup for the ferry was crazy. Went to high park instead, beautiful weather and sun all day long. Threw around a football for a couple of hours. Great time. Got back in to the city around 7 and it was so cloudy and overcast. I was so surprised at weather difference. |

there was a boat race on the island yesterday :)
we took a small boat from a different dock - only like 10 of us :) on the way back at 9pm the ferry was moderately packed |
