lip sync FTW! (that 2004 show was awesome though)

missed that one. i cant stand the lip sync. I actually enjoy hearing live vocals even when they sound like - Jes being the exception - cant stand her. Many lip sync but the ones that have confidence actually do it live (like bill o'reilly - they just say it - they will do it live!)

Or how about at Armin Only: Imagine. Singing "Big Sky" soooo bad!

gotta love autotune and reverb, making ordinary people sound impossibly good at singing and delivering that expectation to trance fans around the world for calamitous live appearance results :stongue:

LOL... i remember that, didn't Armin actually start playing the recorded vocals over her to try and drown her normal singing voice out? All I remember was that "Big Sky" was a "Buzz Kill"...

Hold on to Me live sounded better than Big Sky though...

I just enjoy the live factor because you get to also acknowledge the singers, the keyboardists, etc. For instance when Armin had Jan on keys at Sensation, it added so much more to the emotion of the track and fans got to let Jan know how much they really enjoyed his playing. Same with vocalists if they do it live - and aren't terribly bad haha. However, if it is so autotuned then all respect is lost because at that point its an act. Armin, PVD, and BT for the most part have their singers sing live.
Tosh
Ya, JOC just twisted her voice to make it so high in that song. But PRACTICE, and if you know your singer cant sing it then dont have it performed live. Listen to how low her voice is in other tracks then how high it is in Big Sky, its not her natural tone.

ANYWAY

I am so excited to finally have and idea of what the night will sound like. Thats all i needed, thats a good start for the lineup!!!!!!
