I would've thought the same thing. Except for the fact that Tiesto ripped it up harder than I thought was imaginable tonight. A full hour of classics from 2-3am tonight, the rest filled with harder tech and trance that I would've ever expected. And then some. He banged it out like I've never heard. To anyone who has sampled his new CD and thinks he's becoming a Guetta or sell out? I did too. After this set tonight? He tore the Hammerstein Ballroom apart. Push? Yup. His own classics? Of course. Songs that remind me of Ibiza? No doubt. Songs that have everyone singing along, but nobody remembers the name because they're too ecstatic or ed up? All night. Best of all? He played such hard and techy trance that the roof collapsed. I'm sorry to anyone who has tickets for tomorrow night or Saturday - the venue is no longer standing.
Better luck next time.
Just kidding, I'll be back on Saturday so help me God. |

For those of you who went to Tiesto last night, how does it compare to his show two years ago in 2007, Elements of Life w/ Jes and Blue Man Group?
Had a friggin amazing time in 07...so much fun |
