A full hour of classics from 2-3am tonight, the rest filled with harder tech and trance that I would've ever expected. And then some. He banged it out like I've never heard. To anyone who has sampled his new CD and thinks he's becoming a Guetta or sell out? I did too. After this set tonight? He tore the Hammerstein Ballroom apart. Push? Yup. His own classics? Of course. Songs that remind me of Ibiza? No doubt. Songs that have everyone singing along, but nobody remembers the name because they're too ecstatic or ed up? All night. Best of all? He played such hard and techy trance that the roof collapsed. I'm sorry to anyone who has tickets for tomorrow night or Saturday - the venue is no longer standing.

Better luck next time.

Just kidding, I'll be back on Saturday so help me God.

That's what I want to hear. Can't wait! TONIGHT, BITCHES! :D

judging from these youtube videos, production for the show looked A LOT better back in 2007

no production what so eveer, they just place a massive screen behind the dj booth thats it. 2007 was epic
coolestrl
this is called good production

samster
coolestrl, that video is sick!!! that is what i call good production!!

do you think there will be production for saturday's show?

dont get me wrong....im totally there for the greatness of the music, but good production just brings the experience to a whole other level

when i went in 2007, it was friggin amazing....blue man group, JES, confetti, fireworks, fire, pyros, etc

now in 2009, it seems like 1 screen behind him. thats it :-X
coolestrl
no its goonna be the same thing for all 3 nights, even tho there was confetti, it was just in the very front part of the floor.

Area event is just too ing lazy to put in any effort. Riverside arena at electric zoo had better production.
samster
Who produced Tiesto's show in 2007?

It was such a sick show
coolestrl
area event, that was the only well produced event by them

Just got home from NYC, had a blast last night. Didn't really care about his new vocal tracks, but he destroyed the floor with some progressive.

P.S. I thought someone is going to die when he threw his headphones. I'll link videos later.
