it depends. would the algorithm say "sit on your arse" or "sleep all day then get drunk"? if so, count me in! |

haha, as a true scientist i believe the results of the test were definitive, and no further experimentation will be required. |

Just take care of your cats. Take them to vet every year. I never took mine to the vet. So when I found out he had hyper thyroid disease, it was too late. He could'v lived for a few more years. It's sad, but that's life! |
yeah man I don't miss an appointment or checkup with my cats... got 'em on a tight schedule. |

Nonsense. Science is all about replicating the results! |

Well, scientifically speaking, you'll probably get used to it, and/or develop a tolerance :gsmile: |

indeed. It's borderline abuse when you don't get them seen to regularly. Then again there's always some things you can't prepare yourselves for. When we found out our ben had a brain tumour just before his 5th birthday & that there was nothing we could've done, it was heart breaking. He'd have been 8 this birthday, still too young. Now we have the lil one and she's totally different to him which is fun sometimes but you do miss the things one would do, from them actually coming to you when you call their name :haha: |

Sorry to hear this mate..
Personally I think it's a good thing that you've got distance between your home and yourself. I know it sucks not being able to be there but i'd be in a lot worse shape if i was at home when my dogs die (german short haired pointers).
You might choke up a little bit around christmas when you're home and everything reminds you of your dog but in the mean time you'll have plenty of distractions around you rather than reminders of him/her.
Just my 2c.. I hope you have a woman to help distract you :) |

i've had my dog for 8 years now and i've had him to the vet like maybe 3 or 4 times lol he just gets his routine shots and that's it.
i'm lucky he's had such great health. he's so low maintenance. i actually called the vet yesterday because i wanted to find out what they charge for a visit, etc... and they were like, "what's wrong with him" and i was like, "...nothing really i just feel like maybe i should have him checked out, it's been years since he's been to the vet" and she was like, "honey if it aint broke don't fix it". :stongue:
there's no need to bring your pets (especially cats or mostly indoor animals) to the vet every year. the vaccinations are good for almost 3 years now i think, and unless they are sick and/or acting strange, they can't do much for them at the vet besides take your money. |

Be careful, the algorithm might tell you to get off your ass, and get to work!:p |

Yeah I agree...easier not being right there. I am worried about the Christmas bit though, totally losing it when I do get home. My wife has been great about all of it, definitely a distraction - except I'm doing the deployed thing right now so I'm more removed than I'd like. Only 4 months left though.
Never thought I'd find encouragement in the c0r, thanks for all the replies. Cheers :toothless |
