The Police, Genesis, Peter Gabriel and U2.

It's not 90's but I gotta say the most influential music in my childhood was the music for the original Sonic the Hedgehog games.
yukii
cyndi lauper, the cure, the police, pat benatar, phil collins, to name a few.
TranceOwnsLol
Too much to list...

Phil Fearon (Galaxy), Blind Date, Voyage, The Real Thing to name a few.

Electronically it would be bands like Nitzer Ebb, Devo, Front 242, KMFDM, Clan of Xymox, early NIN, New Order and Ministry.

It's eclectic as a result :D
