Genre doesn't matter. That's one of the points of making it more of a mix-tape than a technical set, so you can throw in whatever you want and not worry about it slotting together perfectly.

Well, I'll probably be inviting people who post mixes in this section for the most part. Even if there are only thirty well known DJing members here, that would keep the game going for two and a half years.

That said, almost anyone can get a trial version or a free program from somewhere online and put together one mix, especially if the emphasis is away from mixing. As I picture it, a member will be PM'd four days before the latest mix goes up, and they'll have those four days to accept, decline or sort something out so they can take part. Then they'll have a whole month to put together an 80 minute mix of tracks they already own. The only real hard work would be choosing your tracks.

yeah, this is a cool idea

it's similar to a regular listening party that i have been trying to start up, i think next month it will start for sure.

i try to do this essentially with all of my mixes, but have a ton of stuff i'd like to share that i have never managed to put in.

it'd be cool,if the participants are up for it, to have a few lines of text written about the selections as well

Yeah, I was going to suggest this. I'm not a massive fan of DJs who explain every track and why they used it in their mixes, but it's obviously different when you're selecting personal classics.

I love this idea, and if you run out of DJ's I've done a few sets ( just too embarrassed to post them haha).
