Well, one of the things I had in mind was that each month's player would be a surprise, so people would check the thread every month with a real sense of anticipation.
Most people who visit here regularly will know there are some TAs whose mixes always attract lots of comments, and these are the members who most people will want to hear from. I do plan to vary who is invited to keep things interesting, but anyone who knows their mixes are popular should start drawing up preliminary lists now, because you're gonna get invited sooner or later.
Still, I think a month to do this kind of set is plenty. If anyone disagrees, they should let me know while I'm still putting the format together. |

| Maybe another thing to consider would be to have two running in parallel, but staggered by two weeks. You could give each person 4 weeks to get it done, but then the rest of us would get a new mix every two weeks and you would get to hear more people's mixes that way. |

Brilliant. There are enough people to warrant this suggestion, I would consider this heavily. A month per mix seems a little too long to wait. Just offset each contestant by two weeks, so we'll get new music every 2 weeks!
You could have the first post on the thread you make have a list of each mix with links to the post they made in that thread, two mixes per month. This idea seems like it could be pretty nice! |
