| I think the question we should be asking ourselves is: who gives a flying ? If trance producers want to remix classic tunes, let them. And if you don't like the remixes, then turn that off. A producer or a remixer has the freedom to do what ever they want. Who are we to tell them to stop? Enough with the phoney outrage. |

Halcyon+on+on to me is progressive. Prog trance if you want to stretch the definition a bit. it could also be progressive house.
either way, trying to pigeonhole a lot of early 90s electronica into a definite EDM genre is hard. it is a bit of grey area and we can argue about this all day.
what my opinion is that it is not a 'classic' trance track as we understand what trance is to be today
