We do get funnel webs though.
They're kind of an "I Win!" in the entire spider world in terms of wrecking people... most poisonous, sneaky, bitey and cranky all in one package.

Plenty of these red back's around too, but they're not really cranky, poisonous enough to kill but they dont go out of there way to do it like the funnel webs seem to do.

Yeah, we don't get so many funnel webs up here. Thank . Heaps of red-backs, but like you said, they tend to stay out of the way. |

The best is the old throw the kleenex box at the spider on the ceiling trick. Once he falls down with the box hes usually injured and easy to smash. Never do this over your bed... |
