They're trying to remove the need to look at laptop screen often. The new LCD screen would allow to navigate digital collection, etc.

So they're making this to market only to the djs that want to stop looking at their laptops as much? I don't see much market for that.

I bet the computer would be easier to navigate as well.

Honestly, one of the main reasons I switched to a DVS with external control was to avoid having to pre-burn cds every time I want to mix something new. It's a major pain in the ass and the DVS solved that problem for me and many others. I'd consider dropping a DVS all together if these new screens on the players give you a list of all the tracks a la the MEP mobile players from Pioneer.

so you'd drop your DVS to buy something that does the exact same thing? just a smaller screen?
