I knew for sure she lied about cancer when her mom dropped her off at our party on NYE. The first thing she said when she got out of the car was "Don't say anything to my mom about the cancer, it's still really hard for her even though I'm better."

Yeah, and up till that point I had given her the benefit of the doubt. I thought that was a pretty elaborate lie to tell, especially to me - knowing I have in depth knowledge of cancer and treatment, etc.
I mean, you never want to believe someone you like and trust is actually a bullter. I always just pushed the thoughts from my mind and rationalized in her defence. But once this whole LA lie came about, that was the last straw. She really went to a lot of trouble on that one, lol. |
