| Shoshanna is hot. Landa is the best character in the movie for sure. |

I'm a jerkoff. I took this long to watch it, but I just did. Holy , the dialogue is simply fantastic in this film. So damn good. And you cannot say enough about Christoph Waltz's tour-de-force performance. He stole every scene he was in. Glad to see the Golden Globe went to him. Deservedly so.
The only thing that threw me off was seeing Mike Myers in the film. I kept picturing him as a character from Austin Powers, and that threw me off a bit. Not sure why, but it did. |

| The best part was when the German officer tried to nail the French chick, and when she finally implied he might have a chance he went "WHAT??" :stongue: |

He deserves more recognition than that, in my opinion. Some of the finest acting I've seen in a while. |

| I prefer german WW2 movies rather than hollywood ones. Some of the best war movies ever are german ones. |

This isn't really a movie about WW2, though. This is a movie about WW2 movies and power of cinema.
It's really quite mind-boggling how many people can't read this film correctly.
"But... it's not historically acurate!"
"It's just a jewish revenge fantasy!"
"I thought there would be more Basterds action as the trailer promised, and all I got was loads of boring dialogue!"

Although I was expecting a literal montage of natzy killin, I thought this movie was extremely well done. I didn't see it as a movie about movie making though :wtf: |
