I was NEVER told not to. I was never, ever contacted by Guv management or it parent company INK. The only time I ever had any conflict was when a TA member tried to get me removed from the club. I've tried a few times to contact Guv management via phone and email. I've tried to contact several from INK. None of them remotely saw fit to return any of my messages. Tara from INK's promotion (after seeing the latest Ferry Corsten video) asked a video fan for my cell number... twice... a month ago. I've yet to receive a call.

It's a paradox of some sort. On one hand they don't want to contact me, yet they allow the cam in. They all know what I do, incl. Charles, but at the same time never stopping or embracing what I do. It makes me scratch my bald head sometimes.

so you admit to doing more recording even though you were asked to stop by club management......... and you wonder why you have so many issues with guv..... hmmm....

I was remembering that night. You did know I was recording at the end because you came up to me and said that I should be careful about the recording. I promptly replied that I know I wasn't supposed to record, but it was the end of the set and I wanted to capture the last few minutes. As a matter of fact, when Mark was getting ready to go on he asked me if I was going to record. I told him I wasn't allowed so I couldn't.

Above all it's more of a hobby (for lack of a better term) than anything else. I don't do it for money, I don't do it for recognition or notoriety. I don't do it just to meet various DJ's. I do it because I want to.

so if it is just as a hobby then why do you go out of your way to get media access? you dont do it for media. it is called a media pass for a reason.

Like I said... to improve the way the videos are done. Many of the videos shots are better as they are taken from behind and beside the DJ's. It's not always best to record from the dance floor area. It adds a different perspective. When a sick track comes on and you see the crowd freaking out in front of the DJ (while recording behind the booth) it delivers a clearer message to the viewer of the amount of energy at that time.

I have more ideas in waiting to try to get different shots, but they'll have to wait until the time comes. You should see that point of view being a photographer. We're always looking for a different angle to get that different feel.

i think it is safe to say that everyone that brings a camera to the club knows some of the best shots are taken from the stage but they know they are not media so they dont go around trying to find ways to get a media pass. you make do with what you have.

Not enough... sometimes. It's my perseverance and resourcefulness that gets the better shots. Perhaps it's a fallacy that I've yet to overcome, but when I want to try to be better with what I'm doing, I find ways. This applies to my day work as well as everything else. I'm the kind of person that's not contempt in blending into the woodworking and disappearing in the masses. Too many years of doing that prompted changes on how I do things.

the problem is the club knows he is not media which is why they wont grant him a media pass and they have caught him on his sneaky ways so everything is out the window.

well not everything...a few thousands and he can get some boobies and will be allowed on stage at any event...no dj denies booth bunnies and no security says no to boobies.
