Electric Zoo day one review

DJDecomp(steve) and I + friend got there around 11am. Parking lot was still empty and not that many people. THey opened up the gates after 12. I was soooo amazed on how big the place is and how sick the entire setup was. First we went to see sleep boo and they were banging pretty good tracks. THen we we to Sunday School hilltop for Paco Oasuna. My god he destroyed the place. I met up with Andy, Kelly, Burak, rory, Zaneta plus others in that tent. IT was freaking crazy.
Then went to see Cris lake for lil bit and it was like a sauna in there, but everybody was going nuts. TGhen came back to the Techno Tent and stayed there till Kaskade went on. Main stage grass is shc an awesome chill area with a beautiful view and a sunset visible. IT was perfect. Stayed there till the end. AVB was killing it too.
Such an awesome epxerience and its only gonna get better. PLenty of bathrooms for everybody, frew water frountains, medical staff etc. This event took a lot of planning and it was such a success today.
Tomorrow will be even better. |

PERFECTLY PLANNED EVENT!!!!!!:crazy: I have absolutely no complaints. Every SINGLE line went fast, there were tons o bathrooms (NOT tons o toilet paper tho!!:mad: ) and the water and beer never ran out......I never did get a drink or eat though, which is weird that I didnt DIE. But I was just having WAY WAY too much fun to leave the music!!! The most fun I have had in NYC in YEARSSSSS!!
Sets of the day goes to Paco and Marco:eyes: :crazy: :eyespop: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: f*ckin ri-GOD-DAMN-diculous!!!!! i loveee them and they destroyed the place.
Every set I heard today was the best music I have heard in ages (paco, marco, Chus & ceballos, sanchez, DT....) Every DJ brought their A+++ game.
my only complaint was Armin. my F*CKIN GOD he has played that exact set like 5000000 times :rolleyes: What happened to my old armin?? :( :( :(
regardless, perfectly organized event....I have actually never been to an event that has run so smoothly before, especially for the MASSIVE amount of people that showed up. :eyes: I had no idea this thing was gonna be THAT big, but the set up and lights and sound and lines and etc,etc was perfect ;)

OMFG!
What an amazing day.
Huge props to Made Events for pulling it off, throwing a party is one thing, but something of this magnitude really needed a LOT of work.
Paco and Carola were unreal, then a bit of Ben Watt, caught the end of Francois's set (he played some gems that anybody younger than 30 would have no idea what it was). Then Luciano, DT, and over to the respect grove for Tiga. What a sick way to end the night. :eyes:

Nice to also meet Bobby Fist Pump, She_Fitz and jmoron and SWAMPER! (sorry if don't remember more ppl I may have met, I still have yet to come to my senses...)

wowow just got back to jersey and going back tomorrow. what a sickkkk day. nice meeting up with Chaska, Andrew, Burak, Ravi, RoryJames(thanks for the promo), Kelly, She_Fitz.
Got to see Paco and Marco, Chris Lake:eyespop::eyespop:, Chus and Ceballos :crazy:, Roger Sanchez:eyespop: , Danny Tenaglia :D, and Armin Van Buuren :D :D :D.
For my review Im basically going to agree with Kelly. Nothing more to say. Shes right about Armin, altho I had fun at Armin I got to the front somehow, but I recognized almost every song in that set and that doesnt normally happen at events.
He ended with In and Out of Connection, nice track but please move on Armin theres new trance out there.
Everything was sooo well organized. Good job Made. :D
Even the sound system was nice. Buses were crowded but well organized and lines move pretty quickly I was amazed. Even the event security was awesome (I havent seen this in a while).
I think the only people I heard complaining were the professional photographers. I spoke to two of them and they both said that security wouldnt let them on stage? lol.
IT WAS A GREAT DAY. IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL AND SICKK ELECTRIC ZOO DAY 1.:eyespop: :D

I just got home took a nice shower, recovering for tomorrow, if day 1 was so epic, day 2 is gonna be legendary, the venue is sooooo sick, very huge and nicely spread out. the sounds systems were pretty much on point, the lazers in riverside arena were sickkk. Second son were so sick life, paco osuna, marco corola, roger sanchez, chus & chaballos, robbie rivera, DT, and finally armin! everybody was pretty much on point, i like armins set only coz he didnt play many vocals plus he was the only trance act of the day.
the only con of the day was $9 beer (which tasted like piss) i had 10 of those and was not even buzz.
i cant wait to see Marcus and ferry back to back!
Nice meeting a lot of new ppl, was awesome fist pumping with bobby fist pump,she fitz, Swamper the usual crew. I met a whole bunch of new TA's i suck at name sorry, nice meeting you'll.
Andrew was always my hero and he still is :D
btw the TA meetup was epic fail lol, hope the one tomm goes off well. |

I had an amazing time. A lot of great music and a great turnout. I am happy Ny finally has a electronic music festival to be proud of. I will have to give credit to Benassi for stealing the show for me. Roger Sanchez, Steve Aoki put on some great performance as well.
As for made event i am going to have a different opinion from everyone else so far. I feel like they left out some major things that could have made the entire event better. The stages could have been arranged a little better I thought. Also Riverside seemed way louder than Mainstage. There were barely any vendors to give the event a unique feeling or theme. Also $9 beers. I am by no means a cheap person but seriously that insulted my liver.
And this is by no means a cheapshot at Made because in no way could I actually bring together something this. I have been to many music festival and these minor things make a huge difference. Not only are we there for the music but for the environment they are providing us to enjoy it in.
Still had a great time and met a lot of cool people. Did anyone else see the short girl with the afro dancing her ass off. It was awesome! |

I think today's meetup was a fail beause it's just preposterous to expect the ppl that were going crazy with carola, to just go to the Roger Sanchez stage. That was no riverside arena, that was the meathead arena :nervous:

About the beer, that has to be worse than Keystone Light watered down. To charge 9 dollars for that was just outrageous.
Luckily I had VIO, this new drink they handed out, which was pretty bad also lol. |

such an awesome day, looking forward to tomorrow. Made did an awesome job on everything. Setup was perfect, random entertainment, venue was perfect, very short lines. Well Done.
Some really awesome sets and tracks tonight..
