What has Michael Moore said or done which you find reason to reject him out of hand? |

While some (keyword) of his ideals may, in fact, coincide with my own, I find his method/actions to be questionable. The fact that he insists on shoving his own beliefs down the throats of others without being willing to listen to opposing beliefs, all the while sounding like an obnoxious blubbering idiot registers him completely unnecessary. |

| Michael Moore is to documentaries what Rage Against The Machine are to rock music. |

While true, I like that he makes people mad and puts onto screen what many people want to say but don't say or can't say or refuse to say. Who else is bringing awareness of the most important social issues like he is? No one. But I do understand where the hate comes from. It's easy to hate a fat, funny looking, "far left" guy like him. |

:stongue: You're joking right? Maybe the fact that he's the world's biggest hypocrite is reason enough to reject him.
1) He was (and might still be) a member of the NRA when he made "Bowling For Columbine"
2) He is built like a 400 pound stack of pancakes virtually begging for diabetes and strokes while lecturing the health care industry in "Sicko".
3) Now he's making an anti-capitalism movie while he's worth a couple hundred million dollars, enjoying personal safety through bodyguards (who carry guns) and doormen, 5 star hotels, and limo service. The juiciest irony is that he never could have made a movie condemning his own society and political figures if he lived in Cuba or whatever other hell hole he props up in his movies.
For an extra side of hypocrite, it should be noted that the guy who financially backs his film productions, John Malone, is described this way by the LA Times:
| quote: | He’s been called a bully and a monopolist. Al Gore once labeled him “Darth Vader.” The Wall Street Journal described him as “ruthless” and alleged “self-dealing” in a maze of complicated business transactions. He is a master of the tax-free deal, completely disdains government and most federal regulations, and has expressed a fondness for Rush Limbaugh. This summer he was slapped with a $1.4-million fine by the Justice Department for illegal stock purchases.
Sounds like the perfect target for a hard-hitting Michael Moore documentary, no? But no, we’re talking about Moore’s latest sugar daddy: cable mogul John Malone.
That’s right, Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story” is being co-financed and distributed domestically by Overture Films, which is a unit of Malone’s Liberty Media. Moore, who has been railing against Big Media during press junkets promoting the movie, is in bed with the Goldman Sachs of the media world. |

I see. Discredit the person behind the argument discredits the argument. That doesn't work with me. |

| There is plenty to discredit in terms of his "material" which is far from objective; the guy is clearly on the fringe with a serious axe to grind. It's just an added bonus when you consider the source presenting the material; his entire essense screams hypocrite. It would be like taking marital advice from Larry King (7 wives). |
