| who's ever idea that was (awarding Obama the Nobel Prize), if it was made with the intent of increasing his rating, they actually made it detrimental to his image. morons, now they should tell him to decline it as soon as possible duh! :whip: |

Well, he did keep the republicans out of the white house.
Or was it bush that kept the republicans out of the white house?
Yeah, give bush the peace prize. |

I find it very odd that Obama recieved the Nobel Peace Prize. He won, but for what? I say, take away Norway's right to give out the Peace Prize. It is being devalued and loosing it's prestige when handed out merely on the grounds of ambition and promises, instead of actual accomplishments. There were many other more worthy candidates...
let me quote something by malcom x after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. received the Nobel Peace Prize
"He got the peace prize, and we got the problem.. ... If I'm following a general, and he's leading me into a battle, and the enemy tends to give him rewards, or awards, I get suspicious of him. Especially if he gets a peace award before the war is over." |

as for the award, it might be too early for him to receive it, but it could also be too early to judge the choice either. too soon to tell what kind of effect, if any, this award might have.
but if nothing else, its let us lol at one of the17sss's rabid frenzies he so likes to go into!
obama did lower tensions with russia re the missile system in eastern europe, even if such defenses posed no threat to russia to begin with.
i don't know what effect, if any, obama's speeches to the middle east have had in repairing US relations in the post-bush era. again, probably too soon to tell.
i also don't know what effect, if any, obama's slightly stronger rhetoric re israel might have on israeli settlement expansions in the region.
if the europeans want to show the world what kind of foreign policy they expect from the only superpower's president, then so be it. |

lol @ singling me out every time an Obama situation arises- who do you think you are, Lebezniatniakov? Where was I "rabid" on this subject by the way? This situation is utter comedy.
Anyway I don't think there's a lot of ambiguity here. He was actually in office 12 total days when they finalized the nomination, so we know it's not based on anything legitimate... obviously. So then, why? Because they want to reinforce his willingness to promote the agenda of neutralizing American's power; they love what they've seen thus far and want to reward him for it. A strong America rocks a lot of boats and they know that Obama cares more about "global" admiration than his own country's best interests. And to boot, now that he is the Prince of Peace, how could such a man with that title agree to increase troop levels in Afghanistan, get hard with Iran, or continue Bush's hated foreign policy measures? Style over substance: a hallmark of the Obama presidency.
