I think I will make a call and bring back our resident dj that open every week. For the last couple of months haven't you guys seeing different dj's opening and closing? Wow it's funny not only they care about the headliner but also opening dj's and closing dj's as well. But you got to give it to me for gettting SWEETNUTS though RIGHT????

Not to be a dick but, the last white party at Circus I went to had AVB and ATB... I like Roger Shah but, why have things scaled down so much?

That last white party was a Spundae party and Spundae has a different pull with djs than Circus does. Unfortunately, politics in the club scene completely dictates who Circus can and can't book. I know Circus is doing their best to get trance djs people wanna see and they've done a very decent job recently IMO.

And yes, I agree: be careful with the overexposure of local djs.

The Circus threads always own cuz there are like 15 of them and everyone keeps chatting, debating, complaining, blahblahblah (not a bad thing at all). entertains the hell out of me.

Exactly right.

If you look at the 'replies' column, the Circus threads almost always have the most posts:
Roger Shah @ Circus = 50 posts
Marcel Woods @ Circus = 117 posts
Marco V @ Circus = 127 posts
HULA is over a month away and already has 43 posts.

These numbers are comparable to the two MM threads which have 119 + 27 = 146 posts

The Circus threads were significantly smaller before August when Circus really started turning around.

Hopefully this white party will go well. My only concern is that the white attire aspect hasn't been promoted long enough to be effective.

My friend who went to the last white party at Circus years ago said that it was promoted for months but only ~1/2 of the people were in white.

i agree, I didnt know it was a white party until about a week or so ago, it wasnt on the original flyer. and I usually always know whats going on with circus.

The Spundae white party in 2006 was probably the craziest party I have ever seen at circus. I remember the line going all the way around, through the parking lot, out to the street by the 711. I think there was better than half in white though.

And then everybody poured into the afterparty in the building next to the arena at 4am, and menno de jong never showed up cause of visa issues:(

i had to drive ATB all the way to Santa Monica (where he requested his hotel for he and his wife). He was so pumped up after his set he kept wanting to conversate the whole way back. I thought to myself, man, i'm ing tired and this German won't shut the hell up :). He's a cool guy though.

I'm still waiting to see if LMD gonna get me a bottle of patron this weekend :D

I'm sure you'll get a bottle, only question is if anything will be in it! :haha:

As for DJ overexposure, easiest way to take care of that is to wear clothes, but being in Cali we're not too picky about it. :D
