I'm sorry if I was being presumptuous about your views or beliefs on it, it was just what I inferred from the conversation. I am and will continue to be very hard line in my positions on subjects like this though because you give them an inch, they will always take a mile.

There's something stereotypical about the fact that some people in America are worried the government may keep track of their data, whereas many internet users in Brazil are concerned by the fact that criminals will have access to their personal information.

Better privacy systems protect someones personal information, whether from private enterprise criminals, or government ones.
