As far as the vibe, the people, the sound, the music........etc
wat ive heard:
circus is pretty sketchy, bouncers sell drugs and abuse there power physically BUT have really good trance.
stereo awesome sound, vibe and people BUT pretty ghey....?
red lite, not soo good vibe people are snoby.....?
wat r ur recomendations all around (which place is best)
ps: i love progressive/trance even psytrance

The place suck totally.. the doorman didn't let us in cuz he thought we had drugs. this place is the worst place on earth. if YOU want to die, go there. from the owner to teh bouncers to security is involved in selling DRUGS. I saw it with my own two eyes when the security and bouncers nearly killed this guy to death and through him in back alley. everyone is fully equiped with knives, and other source of fighting objects. Do not Go there. if you want to live.
30 bux a pill if f*ucking retarded...you poeple suck a$$...this place is full of total sketchbags and drug addicts...run by lunatics...staff selling drugs...want e? speed??? crazy f*cking place...needs to be shut down

Or the many internationnal headliners saying one of their favourite gig of 2009 was Circus out of all their gigs
Security at Circus changed at 90% and we have very nice feedback from the clientele
I hear stories about security in the other afterhours you mention, but i'll keep them for myself

Not bashing at all!!!!...just doing some research is all...i would like to hear other peoples opinion tho, not saying ur being biased BUT if u were to be biased i would understand, esspecially if u play sets there which it seems that u do. For the type of music i like it seems like the obvious choice for ME (good line up of trance):) especially gareth emery for NYE!!!!!!!! i just wanna make sure i wont be stabbed and tossed in the back alley if i so happen to have tylenol on me hahaha

I would suggest you go to Red-Lite tonight, they have Cosmic Gate ! Can't really beat that tonight. They have a friday trance event here and then. I enjoy the vibe, and it's large enough and well ventilated.
Circus the only thing I dislike is that in major events it's too damn hot... never had trouble with security (except that one night with Tiesto... a nigh to forget at Circus...). They also have a monthly trance event with good bookings, haven't been but I might hit the next one on nov. 13th for Simon Patterson.
Stereo is mainly house, there hasn't been a trance event there for a long time, but when there was, it was awesome, the sound is very good and during those events crowd was mixed between hetero/gay. |

| A++ for circus,i have been there plenty of times,never got punched or had any problems there,number 1 afterhours for me and i highly recommend circus if your a trance lover |

Circus is probably the best for Trance at the moment. RedLite has some good djs sometimes, but nothing compared to Circus.
Maybe in a few years, Circus will be the new ARIA ... ;) |

durty you are such a fkn alt its disgusting...
i have never... ever... witnessed security throwing someone around... all the staff at circus is courteous and professional... I can comment on some other places that had serious bouncer problems ie: not telling people that once they go out they cannot come back in, etc... but like king louis i will not say where...
the bathrooms are cleaned several times throughout the night, all the guest DJS have a great time when they play, the crowd is very well mixed (i've seen some hot mamacitas on the dance floor more than once) and it's all in all a great time so please... do us all a favor... and crawl back into that hole you were hiding in...

Circus is my favorite club in Canada...although I do miss the old darker circus haha.
Bouncers arent going to hassle you unless you deserve it. |

| Circus is a great club and I've never had/seen any problems with the staff. My only complaint is that the sound isn't the clearest, but other than that the vibe is usually great. |
