Yes, that is a big no-no. TA is like the good old high school days were everyone had to dress, act and talk the same way, otherwise, you will be an outcast, like Dave... :toothless or hated on, like Dave, Deadmau5, Tiesto, Armin, Ferry, etc. |

To be fair, when people here will own up to compromising their artistic integrity solely to produce music that is palatable for the masses, it often times results in a bit of backlash.
All of those names listed above would qualify. |

Some people might be a little jaded vs commercial and mainstream, but I'd say if it's good it's good and people appreciate it anyway. Most of the time the jadedness (word?) is justified because of the massive amount of commercial and mainstream music out there ;) |

I can agree with your statement to some extent, but I also feel that some if not all of the above mentioned have at points in their careers made some amazing, even ground breaking music too.

Well, since this forum topic was started as a discussion about one of my songs I decided to comment... FYI I don't think most of the comments on here were "on topic" To be honest. Nobody seem to follow any kind of protocol or etiquette here actually, so I don't see any harm in talking a little shop. but thanks for the link. I'll definitely check it out.

BTW For those that are interested we're going to post the full radio edits of the original and Morgan Page mixes for our upcoming single with John Debo Featuring Mezo, in the player on our website.
