I'm Going to see legendary newave-synthpop singer Howard Jones at The Mod Club TUESDAY, so I've been playing a lot of his tunes today.

"He played te early synthesizers particularly the Roland Juno 60, the Jupiter 8 and the Moog Prodigy. He also pioneered the classic Roland 808 drum machine and the Sequential Pro-One. In the early days he was triggering sequencers live on stage whilst playing and singing, something that no one had really done before. His long-awaited performance at the Mod Club on October 12th will also feature Robbie Bronnimann on live sequencing/sampling and effects using Ableton Live and various controllers, and Jonathan Atkinson on electronic drums".

HJ actually lived here in Canada and played in a band here before moving back to the UK and made his fame.

It's going to be cool to hear an 80's great perform live finally.

A Resurrection...
