Donna Summer - I Feel Love (Patrick Cowley Remix) by patrickcowley

Over the years I've always posted the original track as my and one of the first EDM tracks that will never cease to to blow everyone's minds with headphones. Decades ahead of its time.

I'm listening to "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast right now and he has Russell Peters on the show. He, RP, explained how he DJ's, and then Joe says, "What about this DJ Tiesto guy" then RP replies with the best response ever, "He's horrible, i would never put DJ in front of his name, I want to get cancer of the bag, he's ing terrible, i hope he gets cancer"..."The people who go to see him know nothing about DJing or dance music....he doesn't do live, it's all pre-recorded, it's like you pre-record a comedy bit and you go on stage and lip sync the entire act"

i could not stop laughing. brilliant and politically correct. He went on and on about dj'ing for a while and trashes Guetta as well. I'd highly recommend listening to Joe Rogan's podcast. It's great and they are usually quite high while doing it.

I'm actually listening to my own broadcast. These Manzone & Strong mixes are wicked! :)

Well, the original is very similar to the remix, but it is considerably slower BPM (typical of Moroder), Patrick Cowley took it a step further for the nightclub DJ's, added other elements. Moroder is great, but he had many more years in the studio, and much of his production/remixes focused on cheesy side of music, while Patrick Cowley's music career was only 3 years long and then he suddenly died. Cowley was one of the pioneers of Hi-NRG music.

Here's another Patrick Cowley remix, from 1979 too. Look up the original, it bears little resemblance to this remix.

Two Tons O'Fun - I Got The Feeling (Patrick Cowley Megamix)

Notice it sounds a lot like acid house in places, years before acid house came to be. The ending of this track is absolutely incredible. This could have easily been another 16-minute version, but ...
