this label is good, but it has its fair share of ters like any other one.
*runs from woscar who has apparently replaced armin with wolf + lamb* :p
i listened to one podcast and as mentionned by others, never bothered to again because if you can't mix, not interested. |
LOL, of course it has it's fair share of ters. However, they have been on a streak for quite a while. :p
The podcast features a lot of artists on their roster not just them mixing.
Haziel, I'll try to make a snippet for you. It's hilarious! :D |

| well I don't expect them to mix seamlessly during a radio show where you're showcasing some records, but there are a few spots throughout where it's obvious that someone's making an effort to mix two tracks together and it's atrocious. |

| Heard Wolf & Lamb (more specifically Gadi) totally the bed at a party here on Thanksgiving Eve. Guess this podcast is pretty telling of their talent behind the decks after all. |

| i agree wolf+lamb are terrible at mixing. however, a few others in their group are very technically sound. lee foss came to SF a few weeks back and i was very impressed with his mixing...eq'ing was spot on and beatmatching was a no-brainer. phrasing was quite solid too considering he spun a lot of classics with no long intro/outros |

yeah that pretty much sums it up.
not sure what his deal was, but he came off as really pretentious and self absorbed to everyone, including a lot of people who were excited to see him. started off mixing pretty decently, and then seemed to stop caring altogether. just fade in, fade out, next record, and so on...which would have been fine if there was any sort of cohesion at all.
and it didn't help that he just sat down behind the decks at afters and curled up in a fetal position after putting on a record. |
