Hey, I really like the Revenge, so I couldn't go wrong with this set :) Good work, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Finally listened to this last night on the way home. I really enjoyed this, very well done Nate. A lot of big tracks in here, combined pretty well and with some interesting tricks used here and there.

Good call on the "Whole Life" use as a vocal tool, I thought it sounded awesome pitched down on top of those tracks. Is there any chance I can get it? :D

I will definitely be listening to this one quite often, it's slow, sexy, and all-around groovy. I can say that I might have enjoyed it more than The Revenge RA Podcast. :)

Don't take too long to make the next one! :p

wow, didn't expect anyone else to check it out. thanks a ton guys.

i love the first time you used the police accapella...i am an avid fan and it went off well...i did not appreciate it as much the second time though. The highlight for me was dub praise, there are a few JC Freaks tracks i have that i never really got around to using (i really like Geisha), and you made it work quite well. I was pleasantly surprised at the use of the oxia track, as i really never liked it too much. It goes to show you how contextual electronic music can be sometimes.

Well done, to me this set is more of a background music type of thing than dance floor material, but that is not a bad thing at all, as it is quite enjoyable in the background as a sort of soundtrack to do stuff to.

See you in 2 years:p

yeah- as i mentioned earlier, the more i listen to this set, the less i like the acapella. and furthermore i feel like i'm ripping off the revenge a bit *too* much by using it. just pretend like the 2nd instance isn't there, lol. i guess i was trying to pull a sasha like how he used "closer musik - 123 no gravity (ewan pearson remix)" in fundacion, but obviously not as well as he did. hopefully not 2 years again, lol. but then again i'm not the type to release a mix every month- what gives people incentive to check them out if i flood them with too much music? i'd rather make a few sparse mixes that i spent a lot of thought into making and that i'm relatively certain people will appreciate, than make a ton of mixes that aren't necessarily my best efforts.

i really appreciate the kind words, oscar. i was hoping you'd get down with it.. and i'm again very pleased that some of you guys can understand and appreciate the technical aspects of the mix. its nothing too spectacular, but i kinda pride myself in being able to make 3 house tracks work at once- it's very typical in techno but definitely not so much when it comes to EDM with a strong melody. see my december 07 mix for more 3-deck house music ;) :p

and to you and denys- it's a vocal tool, sure, but nothing official. i mainly put it in the tracklist to give denys a hard time :p it's really just me turning down the low EQ to about 15% and the hi EQ to about 80%, and then chopping up and rearranging the sections of the track so that it would fit better on top of "sarice." therefore, if i gave you the "tool" it would be nothing more than the original mix with the kick cut and it rearranged slightly differently. it wouldn't make any sense phrase-wise unless layered on top of the lovebirds track. lol

Getting caught up on all these mixes, yours is next on my list.

you're korean? really :wtf: i appreciate the bump, man.

edit: to anyone else who feels the need to check this mix out- i swear it doesn't suck :p the second half is much better than the first half also, imo. so maybe just fast forward it to the OOFT! track. lol

I enjoyed this. I just used 'So Good Today' in a mix recently too. 'This Sound' is so great.

This was a pretty decent mix for me. Honestly, I'm gonna come right out and say that I did not like a lot if not most of the tracks you used here. Just not my taste, plain and simple. I did like the ones that leaned more towards the deep house sound aesthetic, whereas I couldn't get into a lot of the more disco-flavored tracks (with maybe the exception of one or two).

What I can assess, however, is that you have worked pretty hard on putting this whole thing together, and I appreciate that. It's a mix made with the listener's pleasure in mind. I found the mixing and arrangement to be pretty impressive, and I could tell from pretty early on that this set was going to be a little more special than most. Unfortunately, as I said, I just didn't like a lot of the music. I also noticed that the volume got quite loud at times, in contrast to the beginning, for example, where it wasn't loud enough (which is why I had a failed attempt at listening to this on the bus one day, it just wasn't loud enough and I couldn't hear it very well). I don't know if this was intentional or not, just an observation.
