Depends on the crew you're working with, and the type of place it is.
Some of the bars I've worked at were awesome, and the staff were heaps of fun, so work was a breeze. On the other hand, working in a pub full of chavs in south London was easily the worst job I've ever had. |

if youre travelling, between jobs, at school etc; for sure. but regardless of the crew you work with, the place it is, there will always be drunk s being drunk s.
i mean, you dont tend bar anymore do you stuart? :p its a transition job. if you're lucky! |

Bartending is good fun, until you realise you're working ty hours at times when everyone else is having fun and you can never seem to get enough sleep.
I never understood why some people wanted to do it full time. I did it for 4 years and had more than enough of working weekends. |

No, you're right though :p I did all my bartending while travelling, and it was good fun for that time. Lots of people to meet, and the party type lifestyle was a blast. Definitely wouldn't want to do it now. |

yeah, i have prob a dozen good mates i met tending the bar (from the other side of course!) and as soon as everyone graduated they couldn't get out of there fast enough.
people are cvnts and drunk people are the biggest of them all. people. |

It's amazing how after a 6pm to 6am shift (ie 12 hour) with no break, even the most beautiful of women can disgust you. Seriously, after working that long amongst drunk idiots and at that time of the morning, you just end up hating people.

I loved bartending. It ed up my hands though, I got the driest skin ever.. If you're gonna work as a bartender, make sure you find somewhere clean.
I just have a collection of alcohol and mix cocktails at home now. I'm sick of going into bars looking for work, now I just want a good night out.
