Well If I had every avenue open to release music through, then it would not be on my hard drive, right? As you might know, being involved with a label in some way, its not easy to release music, or get it signed in teh first place, its a loooong process. For example, a tracks I made in April of this year, did not make it out till September. A demo I finished this October/Novemember wont see the light of day till perhaps March. Luckily I make music that will stand the test of time, so its not that bad. But I wish I had avenues that I could release more music through...but unfortunately I dont at the moment.
Releasing music is a process, and all I've said in this thread, is that i'm confident in myself, and that 2010 will be a nice year for me. I'd compare it to entrepenuers who start with nothing, have nothing, yet can envision success, and tell people "watch me baby, im gonna get places." Same story applies to me. |

Source?
Indeed very nice track, but as said before, some Prydz prod.'s need some more rawness occasionalyl, like in RYMD, Armed, Ironman, Etc... |

| Prydz is no longer that interesting...the fact that this thread has been so easily hijacked should be proof enough. |

Good point. I think he's still interesting, but he's lately been lacking in originality of his productions. He also doesn't seem to care that much, which makes it easier for his fans to hop off his bandwagon.
He probably still has the potential to be interesting, but just doesn't gives a rats ass. That's what makes him better than most EDM DJ's/producers. He aint in it for the fame or the money.
My POV. |

| I don't know..."Call On Me" must've paid pretty well and he's been churning out identikit tunes under the Pryda alias that are likely easy money-makers. Respect to him for maintaining the Cirez D project, however. |

There's a philopsophy behind his monikers and projects/releases. Call On Me paid pretty well indeed I think. But it was more of a fun project for him, rather than doing his bookkeeping. Pjanoo and Brick in the wall were also under his Prydz alias. He keeps that alias for the 'commercial' stuff.
On the other hand, Eric also has to make a living.
What's 'identikit'?
I think his Pryda stuff is far more interesting and wide-spread with repsect to 'sound' than his Cirez D work. But then again I have to mention I'm more of a (progressive/deep/tech) house fan than a technoboy. |

Just a music production adaptation of http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/identikit
That's how I have found many of his Pryda productions. ;) I love prog as much as the next guy but have found many of said productions lacking in originality and excessively repetitive. I just like that he also keeps an alternative alias in play with less obvious approaches to making dance music. |

| I used to be a huge (HUGE) fan of Prydz.. he was the reason I stayed on the SHM forum for such a long time. A month or six ago I lost interest as he was producing tunes that didn't do it for me anymore. Which is a shame, because tunes like Agag, Frankfurt, Rymd, Armed, Aftermath, The Gift, Human Behaviour have really contributed to my musical taste these last years. |

I agree those tracks you listed are great. I do think he's had a few good ones since then, notably "Evouh" and "Wakanapi."
The release that had "Animal" on it was disappointing as a Pryda release because it was too rough. It shoulda been Cirez D. |
