I was actually wondering the same thing. I remember a case I read about a schizophrenic guy who killed his father when he didn't take his medication.

here is why i closed the other thread and may do the same with this....

johnny is going through a lot right now and the last thing he needs is a bunch of people talking about him and making assumptions on a public forum and stirring the pot. if you want to talk about it then do it amongst yourselves.

its the same reason why none of us made a thread about cam when something happened with him. we gave him his privacy out of respect.

another reason i closed the thread is because we never know who may be reading it. what if someone from the jury happens to read (or one of his/her friends do and informs them) an opinion, not a fact, and that opinion clouds their judgement? this is why many police and lawyers dislike the media for putting things in people's heads that arent necessarily true.

So let me just get this straight then. It's ok to talk about other crimes and make assumptions, have knee-jerk reactions, etc., when we don't actually know the person; but when it's someone we DO know it's totally bad form?

And just so I don't up any trials in the future....things I say on TA will affect the outcomes of court cases?

Ok got it.

well then they shouldn't read any newspapers or online news cos that's exactly what journalists do there - speculate

if you close this thread, I'd say you're being extemely biased.
VDub
Ridiculous...
chinamon
fine. thread will remain open.
let this turn in to the cOr.

umm. i totally agree with this.

the one thing i always really liked about TA is the fact that people are not so controlled here and they are not afraid of the banhammer just because they say something against the status quo. closing and editing this discussion will put a very bad taste in my mouth.

honestly, i didn't know this person. the media already told us enough about the situation. we aren't saying anything more about it than what we already heard on the news. no one is setting up a lynch mob to go kill him, and no one is making up untrue stuff, there is no legal ramifications.

he also didn't post on TA as far as I know.

what exactly is the big deal?

1) now you talked about it.

2) the day that Cam or anyone on here is found wondering the streets and then gets arrested for second degree murder, unfortunately, i am posting about it.

3) Respect? Honestly?
