Its does, and it is.. if it wasnt for the extreme anxiety i get when smoking it, i would be stoned all the time.

the reason i enjoy listening to music when i'm stoned is because usually i can pick out things i didn't notice previously. i'm strange when stoned, i've passed the whole hysterical laughing stage a while ago, so now i just get insanely deep within my own thoughts and get blown away by the whole 'philosophical' aspect of whatever it is i'm doing
like , i remember when i was organizing my music area stoned. plugging in monitors and cdj's made me think fleets of rca cable spacecraft were plugging into fueling bays in space, shortly after i thought about the whole incident and spent probably around half an hour thinking of the possibilities future space-travel has to offer |

For me being stoned just reduces my ability to judge and recognize things normally.
With music, a sound I"m making will suddenly be a lot more impressive with resonances that tickle all sorts of weird corners of my brain. Come the next day and its actually just terribly clashing and resonating with my room!
Beat structures that are pretty ordinary will suddenly be groovy and original.
Listening to some ultra chilled dub will actually bore me when i'm sober... when stoned, the space and depth and emptyness in the music become the focal point.
Pot basically lowers the bar of acceptance in my mind!
Making it super easy to float over it... mmmmmm |
