But you can't escape the fact that many if not most of them are lost souls. |

I guess in your experience that is the case, but I would say that most people in this world are lost souls in general and are just using whatever drugs to escape the fact.
Which is to say I don't think the proportion of wits using drugs is any higher than the proportion of wits in the general population. |

I can agree with you there. They are just questioned far more in general because some of their actions are immediately obvious versus the white collar greed crimes that have been committed.
And we all are indeed lost souls, however they are lost souls among lost souls... usually they are in a far more self serving and evil mental state than those who are simply greedy. |

I dunno what experiences you've had with druggies to give you the impression but like I said, I really don't think it makes much more difference. It's not drugs it's people.
The stigma associated with drug users is just that, a stigma, most of the problems you are referencing are people problems, personality disorders, etc. I agree that drugs do not help those folks, and usually make things worse, but I personally know more highly successful, intelligent, and extremely nice people who do use drugs than don't. |

I have a friend who falls under your "They" category. The Crackhead category. He snatched his girlfriend's(EX now) jewelry & her kids PS2 in order to get blow & crack. He's not who he used to be. One could blame it on the drugs, but like Clovis said, & I have to wholeheartedly agree it depends on the mother ing individual and their state of mind before they were introduced to whatever.
This is the same friend that took LSD & missed the message. Like I said before, give LSD to the right person & they'll turn into a prophet, give LSD to the wrong person & they'll fall under your "They" category.
It all comes down to the individual & their state of mind

My last cid trip gave me a revaluation to turn my life around from the "they" category.
TBH all the drug users I was around let part of their lives become negatively effected by use. Yeah some of it was legal trouble, but like it or not drugs are not the social norm for better or worse.
In my experience, "they" was the great majority.
This is not a personal attack (I know people who do drugs LOVE to take this personally and get butt hurt, I used to be one of them I know). Stop trying to think that everyone is out to get you... Living like that will make you go insane. Sure drove me off the deep end at least. |
