reminds me of the time i went to see tiesto live for the first time..back in 07..

first time ever at a event first time at an actual party period.. he was only booked for 2 hours, but it was his first time doing a stadium gig in our city(yes he was only booked for 2 hours for a stadium gig) it was his EOL tour i believe and needless to say he even must of felt it was to short because he went ahead and played for an extra half an hour or so.

anyways...blame your promoters. or maybe deadmau5 really is just a jerk.

Well, because the chances of him coming back to Panama are slim to none. So his performance should've been above average, it is not his "usual" gig.

I know you probably get famous DJ's to play in your city, wherever you are so for you it's just part of your life, but here is different, that's all.

Who says his performance wasnt above average, just you???

@MrMystery: I don't know if that was what he was paid to do, but at the end of the day it wouldn't have killed him had he stayed an extra 30-45 minutes. I mean come on!

@evo8: All of my friends and I were not impressed at all by his performance. I mean I didn't go around the tent taking a poll of what people thought man, but I could sense the empty void in peoples expectations by deadmau5's attitude.

I read somewhere in his twitter though that he was sitting in his hotel room for a while before he got picked up so maybe that's why he was pissed off. Still, why do I have to pay the consequences of someone else's ups?

In any case, I really would like to hear from Deadmau5's people why he failed so bad. Everybody knows he could've done a MUCH better job.

When was the last time you stayed an extra hour at your workplace and didn't expect to get paid?
Mr.Mystery
How do you even know he had the possibility to continue for longer?

Domesticated: I did it all the time. I know this may sound naive of me, but even though this is an industry and business blablabla, at the end of the day we're not talking about sitting in a conference room negotiating a 30 year contract for 450 million dollars with 500 terms.

It is just a gig, with good, motivated and positive people that want to have the best party to close out the year. That's all. His mistake was that his team and surely Panama's team failed to communicate this message to deadmau5.

MrMystery: I'm not sure if he had the possibility to stay longer, but then again this is Panama, it's not really a "let's follow all the rules" kinda place, if you know what I mean. I'm confident that if he had asked the promoter or whoever that he wanted to stay an extra 45 minutes they wouldn't have had a problem. People wanted him to stay! but he stormed off the stage and they brought some weird Canadian dj that looked like Big Lebowski for s sake!
Mr.Mystery
Yeah, and had he kept on playing you would had given him for stealing that guy's slot.
JPlay
MrMystery: Absolutely not! I wanted him to stay! This party went on until 6-7 am at least. (I left as soon as deadmau5 got off). Deadmau5 got on at 3:00 am and went on until 4:30. He should've gone until 5. Hell, I would have preferred him go all the way to 6-7 am.

please leave and come back when you have the slightest idea of how an event is organized.

Solution: stop paying to see jobbers

woscar
LOL, what the were you doing at a deadmau5 gig in the first place?

:stongue:

I think he played here 2 nights ago, I'm sure it was even more since there's a 1AM curfew in place.

On second thought, a reduced timeslot can only be a blessing in disguise.
