sad that many good DJs like Johan Gielen, MIKE, Airwave, Signum have pretty much died :(

you must have seriously been trippin balls, becuase that did not happen whatsoever.
A&B tore the place up, more so then PVD in my opinion, his set was weakness.
you need to take a long and serious break. |
I can say the same for you mate. Above and beyond did suck balls. what were you on??? If anything PVD's set was mediocre. |

death of Dumonde took a huge chunk out of trance. |

100% agreed. I was listening to some of their sets on the way back from Montreal and was thinking wtf happened to trance music. |

if you mean most trance DJs nowaday lacking distinct character in their sets, then yeah... what happened to trance...
if you listen to a dumonde set, you can tell that it's a dumonde set without even looking at the tracklist or see the mp3 tage.
same with nu-nrg. or alphazone. just few examples
nowadays, a lot of DJs i could care less to see because one guy sounds pretty similar to the other guy. hence why i get excited to see DJs like markus schulz or yoji because whether you like their style or not, they still have distinct character in their sets that sets them apart from others |

Lieb is still around, but he plays, techno/minimal/ambient now. Sometimes really weird stuff, but sometimes just brilliant.
His unreleased album from 2002, is probably in my top 10 of best 'trance' albums of all time. His last production under LSG.
Solarstone were mediocre at best as DJs. |

Unfortunately, he went from being distinct to being fluff and generic as well. Too bad, since his sets were epic to say the least. |
