When I see 60 year olds studying, i just think that they won't have much chance to apply what they know.

Maybe they're retired, or just part time students. I've met a couple of older people in my program who already had careers but took one or two classes as independents.

Lol, thanks for the morale booster. I love that scene :)

Truth is though that i've met Dolphin trainers, and they often have atleast two other jobs just to be able to make ends meet.

Besides, I wouldn't want to be a dolphin trainer. As Jacques Cousteau once said "There is about as much educational benefit to be gained in studying dolphins in captivity as there would be studying mankind by observing prisoners held in solitary confinement".

There was a guy like that in my English class. He was about 50, working a full time job (he never said it, but from his job description he makes good money) and said he was back in school to stay ahead of the curve. When he was young you didn't need to go to college for his job, but now they won't even look at you without a Masters or better, and he just wanted some job security.

I actually really enjoy school and being a student...I just don't like homework. It would be awesome if all work/actvities were scheduled into the day.

Yeah that's pretty much the way I feel about it. If there were no assignments and it was just a matter of attending lectures and studying for exams, I could be an undergrad for the rest of my life.
