I'm tired of people bitching about being tired of a certain sound. If its that bad move to a country that caters to you tastes better and shut the up. |
someone's a bit crancky lol Maybe you should take your own advice.......if you don't like the thread just dont read it so that you wont get annoyed lol
;)
who cares if people do not like a certain thing and start a thread about it even if they've done this many times before. That's what forums are there for :) people blah blah (just like me now lol) on forums and who ever is interested may join in...nothing to get crancky about.

With today's ease of use and affordable technology there should be NO EXCUSE for using these lame sample/loop cd's (the same ones being used again and again) or for sampling another artists work.
|
disagree, house music was build on samples / sampling it is still a very much true today, using/masking a good sample is already 30% of a good house track IMO (ok not in a way ***** uses them though)
not every house producer even from big heads is a good enough musician to create something original
the way i see is that people instead of gravitating to originality shift their focus to creating/replicating "hits" and "bangers" which in turn are very disposable since only the ones that are heavily promoted will have any value to them in short term and even still will be forgotten few years from now
producers like the sound of tech-house thats fine with me but do no replicate other's sound listen to it,take notes and go do something different yet something that you will still like |

and in addition to my original post - the best music has always been the kind you can't label as a genre.
in closing - anti-genre music rules all. |
Ditto man. I hate when people ask what style do you play. UGH, well, pick one, that's what I play :toothless |

The unfortunate thing is that a lot of dj's don't mix it up..they seem to stick to trends...
I think there are a few dj's that I've seen who actually have the balls to really mix it up...on that really sticks out in my mind is derek may ( hip hop, reggae, trance and disco in one set) |
