Anyone else getting really tired of tech-house?

Tech-house is becoming the new electro-house for me personally; Loved it at the beginning but now getting quite sick of it. I find all the songs sound the same, its basically just like 'boom boom boom boom boom boom boom'... they barely have any "flavor" if you know what I mean; its more or less just a monotonous bass beat with little other noises here and there, and the odd breakdown once in a while. The crappy part is that you can't really go anywhere in Toronto without being bombarded by tech-house.
I don't necessarily dislike tech-house, I just wish people would play/produce tracks that have a little more to them than just 'boom boom boom boom'. I know I am not using the proper technical terminology here (I know nothign about music production), but I think you guys know what I am trying to get at.
Like I feel if I brought someone who knew nothing about EDM to a tech-house event they would think the same song was playign the entire time we were there. As opposed to something like progressive house, which, IMO, I am starting to appreciate a lot more after this big tech wave that seems to have overtaken the EDM industry.
Anyone else feel this way? or totally disagree with me? or somewhere in between? |

The best part about tech house is when the build up goes for almost a minute only to end in the same clicks, beeps and booms that preceded it.
Usually the build-up isn't all that exciting, too (especially to a trance fan)
Alot of Trance is following that motto these days, too, and it's really ing annoying.
Or theres a great melodic section which ends abruptly, back into monotonous garbage.
Marcus Schossow is guilty of this. And the worst part is, that melodic part of the song usually sounds pretty badass, and he should keep rolling with it, but he doesn't. |

| Just like any major musical trend, things reach a point where the market gets flooded with loads of garbage....there's a ton of stuff out there right now that sounds like complete fodder. |

and in addition to my original post - the best music has always been the kind you can't label as a genre.
in closing - anti-genre music rules all. |

Tech house is an even bigger genre than minimal or electro house...pretty hard to define.
But I kind of understand the sound you're getting at. |

| I'm tired of people bitching about being tired of a certain sound. If its that bad move to a country that caters to you tastes better and shut the up. |
