Need some input for a 'DJ Contest' on TA.... (pg. 5)

Still ironing out the details here but I ABSOLUTELY want to have the requirement of there being at least 1 TA PRODUCTION as a requirement for all submissions.
Now, the question is, what counts as a TA PRODUCTION and how do we put together a list of these tracks so that DJs know where to find them? |

I throw my hat into the ring but I'd think it might be something from the TA producer's album for more qualified results - those are people who are really contributing to this board; not that I don't try, in my own way...
I also don't use a four on the floor beat for any of my music. It's all break-beat. |

Well to be honest, shouldn't any production from a regular TA, count as a TA production?
Although in this case, I think exceptions should be applied to well known producers from TA such as Deadmau5 and Lolo (sorry Joel/Laurent! :p).
As for DJ's being able to find the tracks, perhaps a thread could be created for the sole purpose of promoting tracks (from TA producers) for use in the DJ competition? From which, at least one track has to be chosen from the thread?

Agree.
It should be a benefit that whoever you choose is a producer as well as a dj; so we should all be able to use our own productions for our 1 track.

Do you really need to post a list? I say everyone notates a track in their tracklists for which one is their required TA Production. Makes it really easy for the dj as well as you and whoever else is judging. |

This is a good idea. They could provide a TA thread citation, to certify it. It shouldn't come from any release promo thread that labels litter the Music Producer's Promotion Forum with.
