sounds very nice

Break My Soul is one of my least favorites...the weakest stuff are the singles they've already picked. The rest is a step above, IMO. After I Choose Noise and the previous album, this is a great improvement.

This has the potential to be their best since Wide Angle or perhaps best ever.:eyes:

For some reason I can't bring myself to listening to this. I would rather wait until I get the actual album and give it a thorough listen then.

I'm not that patient...the internet has well and truly spoiled me.

Got this on promo this morning. Stunning stuff. Beats the piss out of I Choose Noise and I reckon its the best vocal EDM in years.

Just got the album, after an initial listen through the whole thing, I'd say overall its better than their last two, more good tracks. Having said that, there aren't any specific tracks that I'm really digging the same way I did True to Form, Keep it in the Family (one of my favorites of all their material), and Just For Today. Subsequent listens may change this.

^All typical, forgettable Hybrid jams, IMO. :p I really like Charlotte James' songwriting and stylistic influences on here...it's like a breath of fresh air for the Hybrid palette.

The James tracks are good, but I think their stronger tracks are the ones with minimal vocals like Green Shell Suit, hence why I like the darker tones of Keep it in the Family and True to Form, and violins from Just for Today remind me of Finished Symphony.

Subtle
I think I Choose Noise was better than this album, darker and more energic sound, i dont think her voice is that particularly good, nor do i fancy Break My Fall which is suppose to be THE track from the album.

However, Empire, Can You Hear Me, Formula Of Fear, Green Shell Nut and Disappear Here were cool tracks.

I feel a lotta producers from 90s really early 2000s are now thinking th way to elevate their music, to expand their sounds and creativity, is to embrace more guitars and vocals. PVD (mainly vocals), BT, Hybrid, Moby for awhile now, for westcoasters Richard "don't call me Humpty" Vission, and others. I don't necessarily like or dislike the move, sometimes the results are fantastic, other times they feel cheesy and forced. Hybrid with I Choose Noise really increased the number of vocal tracks, which disappointed me to some degree. Dogstar is a fun track, but I think they do better non-vocal production. Here they went less epic w/ their vocals, more subdued approach which works well, but again, more I listen to it, I think Green Shell Suit may be my fav track from the album.
