Dear Mr Club Owner,

Please stop inviting middle aged asian perverts to your club. I know that from a business standpoint it is "the more the merrier", but from an enjoyable company standpoint they can make things a little bit awkward.

Toronto clubs should start having memberships. And with memberships come benefits.

Thoughts of every day at work are swimming around in my head and I want them out.

Although I can see where there is some negligence by the club by not providing hearing protection.....the contributory negligence would be huge on the part of the patron.

don't hire bouncers that have been fired from every other club to save money. this will cost you money in the end from law suits and lost business.

to take care of your bouning staff hire a dalton to teach them the ways. i want to feel safe not scared.

lol, at this thread tho. the people that get paid by clubs bitching about the fact that us the consumers are giving suggestions to them. the more people are happy at your club the better for you! we always bring earplugs but sometimes don't olan to go out the very last minute and therefore don't have a chance to go home and grab some. Footwork staff gave me ear plugs for free on a few occasions. not that big a deal.

i assume people would expect this membership to be free right?

Id charge $20-$25 yearly for a perpetual door discount and line bypass.

No need for memberships, just strict door policy.

- Lizard Lounge door policy circa 1988:

"No sneakers, no blue jeans, no blue eye shadow."

- Berghain door policy circa right about now:

"No cameras, no cellphones."

I know I'm going near-completely against the grain, but I love the idea of the latter.

Didn't TiL have free membership when it first opened? They gave everyone a black card or something like that b/c it was a "members only" club so they could get around the smoking by-laws.

Ear plugs are dirt-cheap and would be a cheap/easy 'good will' measure to have them available at the club.

There have been times I've left a club because I found things too loud and it was hurting my ears - if they had sucked up 20c and given me a free pair, I would stay longer, spend more money on drinks/etc and they would have made more money off of me.

(I usually head out with ear plugs, but now and then I do forget them at home)

Hell, I'd even pay $1-$2 for a pair of earplugs if I had forgotten mine at home.

It should be a paying membership like $20 or $30 for a year. That should give the member real line bypass, special promotional offers to members only (like discounts on some nights, reduced cover for friends, a couple free parties during the year (like in January or off season), and depending on the club and how many rooms there are there could be a members room. I'm sure there are lots of other little things a club could do with this. Alot of the great clubs in history have had memberships.
