A recent conversation made me remember this Zone experience...
Was anyone at Zone a few NYDs back when the music kept shutting off all day, and at one point it shut off for twenty minutes when it was absolutely rammed?
I was. Very scary, lol. Music is pretty much the only thing that (barely) holds that place together.
I think it was the year Peter Presta and Exacta were there. |

one of my all-time fav zone stories is an incident which took place during Squillace's laptop crash last year and we had like 45 secs of silence... oh man, I can only tell this story in person, it's a good one... |

I was there! The first couple minutes (which felt like an eternity) was confusing b/c you're just waiting and waiting for something to happen. Then everyone starts looking around not knowing what to do. lol so sketchy |

lmao that guy had the worst job ever. Everyone grabbing him yelling,
"Alex!" "Alex! "ALEX!"
Alex: "GUYS! Step back from the ing chain!
The look of absolute desperation of some of the faces of people trying to get in was priceless.
And you wouldn't be paying to skip the line really, you'd be paying to join the line that was actually moving. Sometimes the greasing line would be a 20 minute wait, and the normal line wouldn't move for an hour or more. |

Exactly. LOL and I always remember him for yelling "Clear middle lane" I loved Alex. He had to deal with a lot of . It was always such a mess getting inside CZ...but always worth it :D |
