That is great to hear. What a difference compared to some other clubs in the city. My sister got totally screwed at Faces nightclub on Saturday. She was with a girlfriend of hers, and some guy was talking to them, saying he lost his phone, and was asking if he could use her phone to text his friend. Shortly after he started walking away, and then started running down the stairs. Six-month-old iphone 4 --- gone. I can't believe how low some people are, it's unbelievable. Running away from a girl in heels ... what has the world come to? She filed a police report, but i doubt much will happen.

Some people have NO respect!

Still, this is nothing compared to the pick-pocketers at guv. There are hundreds of people in that club solely there for the purpose of stealing. They are not there to party, or have a good time, they are there to loot jackets and cell phones from your back pocket!

Be careful out there !

“The place is really spruced up. It’s been tidied up and refurbished, there’ve been upgrades to the sound system.” Yeah, that probably didn’t happen—or, at the very least, the “sprucing” doesn’t perform its desire effect.

Hahahahahaa.

I quite enjoyed that article especially considering i just read the first part of it regarding the other after hour venues in the city just a couple of days ago.

The guy writes well and its interesting to see an outsiders perspective on arguably one of the most controversial spots in the city.

good stuff :)

And we think we go to underground spots :p

I love how a lot of them don't even have proper names and are just referred to as their street number. I can think of a few on spadina and queen like this. I went to one down on Queen W near Bathurst one time that was open sun-thurs 230-7am :nervous: My biggest complaint was the amount of second hand smoke inside.. so gross. That and the sound system was brutal but cops can confiscate it if they shut it down so I can understand not wanting to have expensive gear around.
