I think heal is a relative term. I don't know the extent of her injuries. But the other people I know have been able to continue to lead active lives... so... |

Sorry to hear that Eric
I was part of my University soccer team in Peru and because of over training myself I got my meniscus broken on both knees. it sucked .... I remember how it happened it was during a soccer game , On one leg i was feeling a slight knife like pain and on the other one after a free kick i felt how something in my knee snapped. result : meniscus broken on both knees and partial ACL torn on right knee . That hurt so much that at night when i was sleeping at the slightest movement i would wake up with tons of pain . The Dr. told me that at 22 with this after my recovery I would have the knee of a 32 year old :(
anyways I had surgery on both knees ( Arthroscopy ). the good news is with arthroscopy you get back to the field in no time , the bad thing is that you will never feel the same again when you play. :(
I think with ACL you are looking at least 6 months of recovery |

so I got back my MRI
I tore my MCL , I tore my ACL completely, and I tore both of my meniscus. Unfortunately with one of my meniscus, the Cartilage ripped and folded 180 degrees into the joint of my knee. So I will be having an emergency operation come Tuesday. so then that has to heal up along with my MCL and once that is healed they can operate on my ACL.
diagnosis is , and the only good thing about this all is I have a strong threshold for pain. The doctor was surprised I stopped taking tylenol 3. My knee however is the size of my head. |
