I sometimes think these kind of dreams are actually a result of a stress-free or uneventful waking life. Sort of like, your brain is free from focusing on stress and , so it can do whatever it wants.

Basically we have two big theories about dreams One is the karl jung theory which he deeply believes that us humans own a 6th sense and so dreams prevents us in some way about what is to come by symbols.

The second one was done by the father of Psycho analysis that is Freud in which he believes that dreams are a mechanism of repressed desires that are fulfilled most of the time in dreams.

I'm more into the karl jung theory , I do like the freud one as well but then again freud inhaled enough blow to kill a camel ... not bas , just a camel :p

I had a nightmare last night that I some uncontrollable force made me kill my dog. It was very depressing and sad :(

I had a nightmare last night that I tried to throttle an odd, younger version of what I believe was myself. I didn't actually kill it, whatever it was, I eventually gave up after a long amount of time, and the figure was frightened of me afterwards. It was very disturbing and I felt the guilt from what I tried to do kind of resonate throughout my other dreams. Couldn't sleep afterwards. :/

//This winter has really, really ed with me and a lot of people that I know. Sometimes it really does seem as though the world is becoming a worse place.

You just agreed with me but in different words. Filing = thought processes or rumination of recent events.

Not really. You would never call normal thought processes "filing" unless you are Arbiter. Filing has obvious connotations of system and purpose. It implies that dreaming puts events into some kind of order and sense.

Seems all I dream about lately is sex. Constantly trying to get off. I'm such a simpleton.

I really wish I could have a sex dream. Haven't had one of those (that I remember) in yearssss.

It's validation that my life is stagnant. I've been having the same handful or two of dreams for years now.
Halcyon+On+On
But you go to school and love your job and seem quite busy - are you sure your life is stagnant? I suppose even if you keep busy, it doesn't mean you're trying new things. What do you think you should be doing to rectify this?

//I went through a recent bout of depression and I think have generally remained the victor, but through my reflections I have realized there is a TON I need to do in my life. My ambition is almost overwhelming at this point and I have little idea where to begin, other than day by day. When sleep becomes stressful though, I am nearing the ing bottom.
