| It's convenient and can be done in most situations. One can think out their words before sending teh lettar. In addition we're an increasingly impersonal society, rendering us anxious, impatient, suspicious and peevish. We are socially inept creatures. |

| I don't mind it. I ing hate talking on the phone and 99% of the time I don't answer. Texting and email are the only ways to reach me. |

| At any time of the day i could be in one of the numerous situations when answering a call is inappropriate inadvisable or impossible so texting o email is usually the better option. |

| Texting if you know they're at work or if it's just a quick question. Otherwise, you should always be calling... wtf, bother them? In a special situation maybe, but 99% of the time, if you're worried about 'bothering' them with your call then you shouldn't be dating them |

| Woudnt that depend on the partner and the relationship itself. Some cant help but call eachother every few minutes or they both go mental and then there are those that have their together time and their apart time during the day and its understood that you dont bother calling unless something important is up. |

My questions:
- for people in relationships: Do you communicate with your significant others via text messages, or do you actually dial the number and call them, when you want to get in touch?
- for everyone who's dating: Do you sometimes get the feeling that text messages are a polite way of keeping you at arm's length? Isn't texting is a little disrespectful when the person could have called you? |
I only text her if I know that she's possibly in a place where she wouldn't be able to answer her phone or if I'm in a place where I can't call her.
I don't get upset when I get texted though, lol. I don't find it disrespectful or anything. |
