well my computer just died... hella bull ... hopefully i can salvage what's remaining, i knew its been steadily dying on me recently, but yeh... kicked the bucket last nite.
was wondering if you guys could lend me some help in constructing a computer that i can diligently use for producing at a high standard with out experiencing too much lag.
i want to produce in asio4all etc etc, and with the experiences from my last computer, it lagged heaps whenever i used it. so i want to be able to program in it with minimal to no lag. i used to use asio programming via my interface but id like to be able to use asio4all and not have to direct it through my interface all the time.
as far as cost and the rest goes not looking at a strict budget as for now, just shout me w/e ideas and ill put them together and see how it goes, doesnt need to be too high on the graphics end, maybe just enough to run sc2 when that shiz finally comes out, not much of a gamer.
mostly just focusing on the abilities that itll have for when im producing, using adobe audition/fl studio/cubase w/e.
any firewire cards or w/e interfaces and like that post them here too. in need of a good new interface aswell, my pod x2 from line 6 is good, but its usb and it has a lot of latency so some advice on a faster one would be great.
cheers everyone, i hope i can get some help on this here |

| highstandard and asioforall is kinda an oxymoron. Given your description, I would just order a Dell. |

personally i would go with Trancelover's build. you can go even cheaper, but that machine is futureproof even, and cheap. do it custom.
right now im running a X2 phenom black edition and im not going over 40% in my daw. |

jesus that is a great deal. Where are you buying your stuff. The only thing that I wouldn't want to get in that list is the AMD processor. |
