You do realise that by owning a Prius you are pretty much doing nothing of the sort?
In terms of MPG that they return then you'd find a Golf 2.0 TDI more economical.
Also if you consider the process for creating and disposing of the batteries that it uses then you are not helping save the earth at all.
At least you get to drive around in a terrible car though |

The only thing a prius is useful for is for pulling those eco mentalist girls. The question however is...ydo you really want to do that?
And on a brignt side, even if its a toyota, at least it will never accelarate out of control...the two tiny engines in it are barely enough to get it over the speed limit, nothing a quick tap on the brakes cant fix :p |

If it were free I would probably opt to own one. It would certainly be convenient on occasion.
But as things stand I think I would have to be very wealthy indeed before I couldn't find a better use for my money. |
Cars are extremely expensive to own in the city here, mostly because of parking. Parking = $750/month :wtf: |

They also stop when they're supposed too :p
I'm not a VW fan, but the little 2L diesels where quite good, had one for a few days for a test drive when looking around for a domestic run-about. About the only thing I didn't like was the interior which looks like it fell out of an american car (plastic and naff) and diesel is stinky. Parts here are also very expensive. |

That FT-86 is actually a Toyota/Subaru joint thing. It will be good if all goes to plan. |
